Not all of them entirely complimentary, come to think of it. Some call me Mel, some call me 'Kiims. I've been called Orphan, Mother, Lover, Friend. But the most important of these, and by far the most painful, has always been Queen. If you are reading my profile, and subsequently, my livejournal, then you probably already know me. Perhaps you are one of the Chresh, or an Initiate, attempting to learn more about the woman you serve under. If this is true, then reading my profile is a waste of your time and you should be talking to me in person. I will attempt to make the time for you. However, should it be that you are some random stranger searching the net and, obviously, the blog sites, then you really should find someone else's to explore. I am not interesting, I am not intriquing, and I'm not nice. Chances are, I won't like you and you won't like me either. Getting entangled with me will probably be very bad for your mental health anyway. For those of you who show an honest interest and a not so dangerous curiosity, I shall sate your intrusive regard with a few simple facts about me. I like, nay, love music. Of all types, although I particularly dislike music with no meaning to it's lyrics, such as most Pop or Rap or... well, I suppose I just don't like Country at all. However... classical, Opera, Rock, Classic Rock, Gothic, London Goth, Techno... all of these appeal. My favorite bands/musicians/composers are as follows- Manson, Garbage, Kittie, Switchblade Symphony, London After Midnight, Therion, Cradle of Filth, Lacuna Coil, Savage Garden, Pretty Balanced, the Cruxshadows, the Dresdon Dolls, Mozart, Stravosky, Vivaldi, Beethoven... I could probably keep going for a very long time. I am an artist- I paint, I draw, I even have been known to make a tidy profit once in a while, when I can bear to part with something I've put much effort into. I love to read- classical or gothic literature, mainly, although I've been known to voraciously explore pretty much any genre. I also love comic books- Batman is a great personal inspiration, although enjoy the works of Alan Moore and some manga. My favorite authors are Oscar Wilde, Lord Byron, the Bronte sisters, Baudelaire, Voltaire, Shakespeare, Poe, Neil Gaiman, Poppy Z. Brite, Alexander Dumas, Anne Bishop, and Laurell K. Hamilton when I'm in the mood for quote "Fairy Porn" as my fiance terms it. I also love reading non-fictional works, especially on Goverment, Philosophy, History, and Quantum Mechanics. I enjoy martial arts, archery, fencing, running, swimming, and the occasional camping trip. Especially to Zion. I am facinated by Egypt, England, Ireland, Venice, and Rome... and all their subsequent histories. I've studied in depth for many years, including reading the original language versions... long translations... of the Kuran, the Torah, the "Bible" in all it's edited glory, the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Book of Nod, and Book of Enoch, and the books of the Gnostic gospels. I am an avid explorer of archeology, history, the roots of modern religion, government, wicca... although I am by no means wiccan, paganism, vampirism, supradimensiality, Entropy, Quiddity, alternate dimensions, demonology, herbalism, and quantum mechanics. Yes, I just said Quantum Mechanics. One of my favorite fields of study. I ardently adore rain, thunder storms, lightning, the ocean... all the beauty found when you choose to look. Gardening, astrology, searching through antique stores, collecting curiosities, lavender bubble bath. Simple treasures, such as tea with mint and honey. The things that make a life of pain bearable. Such as a smile from my fiance. Well, now that I've rattled on... I shall draw my rather verbose introduction to a close. I'm sure that by now I've bored you to tears. | |||||
